“Candy Bar” – newly opened on Soi 6

Adding to the parade of ownership changes on Soi 6, on the weekend a new bar celebrated its opening on Soi 6, located next to Sky bar. It is owned by the same individual as Route 69 and Chili bar, with a similar style of interior decor with a roomy feel, soft top bar stools, a dancing pole, air-conditioning and spacious toilet area inside. you will notice in the photo there are balloons there for the opening event.

The exterior area has high counters and more stools on the verandah area. Fans are installed in the roof to blow air and keep you cool as you enjoy a drink. As of now there are a few girls working there with most coming over from Chili or route 69, including the famous Tuktik.

The pricing structure is also the same as the 0ther two bars in the group with reasonable prices for lady drinks and also bar fines.

Ownership of bars on soi 6 is becoming more consolidated and this means that some bars might lose their unique “personality” as policies are applied more evenly by all bars owned by the same people. However this has also meant that unlike in the past, the standard of facilities is becoming high with better cleanliness and hygiene. Back in the bad old days many rooms found on soi 6 were on the primitive side of basic, whereas you can now find much more convenience and comfort.

other relatively new bars such as Wicked, Bunny bar etc have also sprung up rapidly with their own themes and styles, along with the reinventing of existing bars such as Kawaii  bar there is always something new to see when visiting soi 6.
