Soi Buakhao, the forgotten Soi???

Many tourists come to Pattaya and only visit the area between Beach Road and Second Road, as well as Walking Street. However, this is ignoring one of the best and most active nightlife areas in Pattaya, Soi Buakhow (also sometimes called Soi Blue Cow) and its surrounding Sois are packed with massage places, beer bars, restaurants and the gogos of LK Metro. There are plenty of hotels in this area, including many just built such as the Travelodge and Centara as well as the LK Metropole/Renaissance properties. If you are a Westerner, Buakhow has the highest concentration of farang food options in town, with almost every place offering some variety of all day breakfast, burgers, and other foreigner favourites.  Close to the south end of the Soi is a local market that has cheap priced clothing (usually fakes), trinkets and other bazaar type goods. Soi Buakhow is also your link to Soi LK and Soi Dianna (Soi Diana Inn, also known as Second Road Soi 13). LK Metro has an easily walkable section of gogo bars together with freelancer spot the Billabong bar. This corner bar is popular with older expats.

Traffic during the day can be slow as the street is narrow and often blocked by delivery vehicles as well as slow moving traffic such as food vendors pushing their carts along by hand. The intersections also cause traffic to slow to a crawl. Not only that, but as there are no sidewalks or paths, pedestrians cause traffic to slow down as well as motorcycles are blocked from passing on the outside of the road. We would not recommend walking too far along Buakhow unless you are planning on being very wary of motorbikes.
